Over 20,000 technology professionals and integrators from across the globe gathered at the San Diego Convention Center in California for CEDIA Expo 2018.

LT Security, Inc. (LTS) and over 500 exhibitors showcased their latest innovations in home automation technology. 2018 marked LTS’ second year at the CEDIA Expo, where they introduced new products for access control, HD-TVI and IP solutions.

Home automation was the overall theme of the expo, as LTS displayed how their door-opening solutions integrated with the home automation platform, Control4. Partnerships with top brands like ASSA ABLOY, Securitron, HES and Alarm Controls allowed LTS to demonstrate their video integration by merging technologies from surveillance and access control. Top brands such as Western Digital (WD) and Seagate were on display, partnering with LTS to showcase their line of high-endurance, surveillance grade storage solutions. WD Purple microSD and WD Purple hard drives are optimized with AllFrame™ technology for 24/7 video surveillance. With capacities up to 12TB, these weather-resistant and humidity-resistant edge-to-core solutions provide failover local storage and continuous recording, even in case of temporary camera disconnection. Seagate SkyHawk Surveillance hard drives handle 24/7 workloads and leverage up to 14TB with drives designed for DVR and NVR systems. ImagePerfect AI delivers zero dropped frames and optimizes for smooth video streaming.

Las Vegas, NV – The sound of drums roared throughout the Sands Expo Hall to kick off ISC West 2018. This year proved to be an enormous success for LTS, as they demonstrated growth and innovation to over 30,000 security professionals in attendance at their booth from April 11-13.

This year, LTS’ 30×50 booth was sectioned into four separate “experiences,” ranging from Network IP solutions, Access Control, HD-TVI solutions and their innovative “IoT, AI and Beyond.”

Network IP Solutions

Deep learning and artificial intelligence (AI) continued to be a trending topic, as the shift in IP technology demands more sophisticated and advanced features. LTS’ powerful LTN0732D-R8F integrates advanced algorithms built for perimeter prevention. Smart Motion Detection processes data critically and works to understand the human body through enhanced secondary analyses like face detection and object analytics, producing higher accuracy in intrusion detection. When line-crossing triggers or false alarm intrusion occurs, the deep learning NVR processes images by filtering out the cause of the false alarm and triggers only if a human being is detected. The NVR also features Facial Recognition, identifying a person by comparing selected facial features from given images within a database.

Access Control

ISC West marked a new milestone for LTS, with their announcement of their partnership with tops brands ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, and ZKTeco, world-leading enterprise specialized in Hybrid-Biometric Verification technology. Access control continues to see steady growth within the industry as the need for better security within workplaces, schools and homes rise. LTS is now an official distributor of ASSA ABLOY and ZKTeco products, offering security professionals a wider range of options and overall solutions to scale any project size. Integrators can leverage quality products backed by LTS’ unrivaled service and end-to-end support.

HD-TVI Solutions

Security professionals continue to deploy HD-TVI solutions because of its security and reliability. LTS’ has developed and expanded its HD-TVI product line with their first HD-TVI fisheye camera, the Platinum Fisheye HD-TVI Camera – 5MP (CMHD7552F). Integrators now have the flexibility of providing a HD analog solution with a complete 360° field-of-view, reducing hardware and installation costs of deploying multiple cameras to capture every angle. The camera is equipped with a 1.1mm fixed lens that records in 5MP (2592×[email protected]) and illuminates objects in dark settings (0.01 lux@f/1.2) up to 65 feet away using 3 Matrix IR 2.0 LED technology (AGC on, 0 lux with IR). Built-in microphone and one channel audio output provides two-way communication for intercom capability.

The Platinum PIR HD-TVI Bullet Camera comes in 2MP and 5MP models. Both feature a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to accurately detect human bodies and reduce the number of false alarms. The camera also features a flashing light sensor that acts as a deterrent to alert intruders and enhances image quality by capturing illuminated images of suspects.

Security professionals can deliver 4K quality over coaxial cables, leveraging existing infrastructures with the Platinum Turret (CMHT1782WE-28) and Bullet (CMHR9683DWE-Z) HD-TVI Camera – 4K. Featuring True WDR to capture clear images in low-light settings, integrators no longer have to compromise image quality and get the best picture quality (3840×2160) with an analog solution.

IoT, AI, and Beyond

Attendees caught a glimpse of the future at LTS in their emerging technology zone “IoT, AI and Beyond.” Wi-Fi-based devices including several cameras and a NVR were the center of attention, demonstrating LTS’ commitment towards innovation. Aside from a 110V AC power Cat6 cable, the Platinum HD Security Camera – 2MP, Mini Bullet and Dome Wi-Fi IP Camera, and NVR are completely wireless, relieving integrators from the stress of cables.

VR Experience, “Explore the Door,” Jeopardy, and “How Many Piggies?”

LTS hosted several activities daily across the three-day show. Attendees immersed themselves into LTS’ new Platinum Fisheye HD-TVI Camera – 5MP through their VR Experience, getting a closeup look of the camera’s 360° field-of-view. Visitors also played “Explore the Door” access control game, where they got a hands-on look at LTS’ 2-door controller while trying to find the right keycard to open the door. Guests in attendance were selected to be contestants in LTS Jeopardy, where they tested their product knowledge against another to win prizes like a Multi-Purpose Camera Tester, WD Purple MicroSD card and Platinum Fisheye HD-TVI Camera – 5MP. Lastly, attendees tried to guess how many pigtails were in the box, where the first person to submit the closest guess without going over won a Platinum Fisheye HD-TVI Camera – 5MP.
